How does my health insurance work?

The way Damani health insurance works is simple and the simplicity of the method is one of the reasons for the success and distinction of Damani program from other health insurance programs. The method is as follows:

  • When you obtain the medical service, obtain an original receipt from the medical service provider (doctor, hospital, laboratory, clinic, etc.). The meaning of an original receipt is a receipt that contains the name of the patient, the date of the review, a detailed list of costs and the name and address of the service provider;

  • Fill out the compensation application - online or manually - and submit it to the Daman Program Department with the receipts. The application and receipts can be submitted via the program website, e-mail, or hand delivered at the program office. The claim for compensation shall be made within a maximum period of 30 (thirty) days from the date of the medical service, otherwise the right to claim compensation shall be forfeited.

  • Upon receipt of the application, the Managing Director of Damani examines it from an administrative point of view and ensures that it meets all conditions and calculates the amount of insurance coverage and the remaining monthly balance of the insurance holder. After that, the request is sent to the medical director of the program for the purpose of examining it from a medical point of view and then marginalizing it and returning it to the administrative director for the purpose of determining the final amount of insurance coverage and disbursing the amount of compensation. These procedures should not take more than three working days.

  • After obtaining approval to pay the compensation amount, the compensation will be paid to you in the form of a check.

Insurance Duration

Insurance starts from the date you sign the insurance contract and we receive the insurance premium and it continues without interruption as long as you continue to pay the insurance premium on time and stops when you stop or fail to pay the insurance premium. The method and timing of payment of the insurance premium shall be specified in the contract. The insurance does not cover any medical expenses that occur before the insurance begins or after it stops.
